Now that you have the new and shiny Defy in your hands, you've mastered syncing it and are beginning to take full advantage. While the RGBW brightness is intense, we know that battery consumption is proportional. So, how can we dim the brightness of our keyboard?
To customize your settings, follow the steps below in our customization software, Bazecor, available for download here:
First, it's necessary to know what connection mode you're in, as the steps to follow are different.
For wired mode, follow these steps:
- Go to "Preferences".
- Scroll down to the "LEDs" section. In this section, you'll find three fields:
-
- Time before LEDs turn off: to set the time in minutes before the LEDs turn off. The minimum is 0 and the maximum is 60 minutes.
- LED backlight brightness: This is the brightness range for the backlight LEDs of the keys, with values ranging from 0 to 100 percent.
- LED underglow brightness: This is the brightness range for the underglow LEDs, with values ranging from 0 to 100 percent.
For wireless mode, follow these steps:
-
- Go to "Wireless" section.
- Click on the "Advanced settings" wheel within the "Energy Management" section.
In this section, you'll find three fields:
-
-
- Maximum Per-key LED intensity while the device is NOT connected by cable: This is the brightness range for the backlight LEDs of the keys, with values ranging from 0 to 100 percent.
- Maximum Underglow intensity while the device is NOT connected by cable: This is the brightness range for the underglow LEDs, with values ranging from 0 to 100 percent.
- Time to turn off LEDs when waiting while the device is NOT connected by cable: to set the time in minutes before the LEDs turn off. The minimum is 0 and the maximum is 60 minutes.
- Highlight layer changing: Adjust underglow and backlight intensity as you switch layers. The maximum intensity smoothly fades to a lower level. It can be switched ON or OFF.
