Important information
- Each half can use around 300mA per hour, so it's around 600mA total.
- Each side has a 2370mAh battery. It can be compared to a 5000mAh power bank. You need to charge those for a very long time if you use a normal 1 amp charger or a 900mA USB 3.0 port.
- If you use, for example, a 1.5 amp charger on each side (so two 1.5 A chargers), it would take 2 hours to charge both sides completely.
There are two ways to charge your Dygma Keyboard:
- Wired through the computer, with the sides connected to the neuron and neuron connected to the computer.
- Each side is plugged directly into a phone charger connected to the wall. Make sure the sides are turned off if you charge your keyboard this way.
When you charge it with a phone charger, please keep in mind:
- The switch on the rear part of both keyboard sides must be turned off.
- We recommend using a 5V USB charger of no more than 10W (that's 2A at 5V).
- Using fast USB chargers or KVMs with a higher voltage or amperage can damage the keyboard.
When charging through the computer:
- A USB 2.0 port only charges at a 500mA rate, so depending on how bright your LEDs are, you may discharge the keyboard if you connect it to a USB 2.0 port while using it.
- Even a USB 3.0 port only delivers 900mA, so it would effectively charge it at around 300mA while using it.
- If you charge the keyboard for less than 24 hours from a USB 3.0 port while using it, then your battery may never charge completely (the lower the LEDs, the less likely to happen)
- Please don't connect the sides directly to the computer, it can cause malfunctions.
