There’s a practical reason why the Raise keyboard has RGB LEDs: to have visual feedback when changing layers.
In the vast majority of gaming keyboards, RGB lighting is just for aesthetic purposes but during our testing, we learned that they reduced users' learning curve when getting used to multiple layers.
With the Raise, you can create multiple layers and switch instantly between them. Every key in every layer is rebindable and can be configured as a macro with its own color.
An example of a 2-layer configuration where you could benefit from RGB lighting:
- >L0 (Layer 0): Standard typing layout — all keys are color blue.
- >L1 (Layer 1): Arrows, number pad, F1-12 keys, media controls — each set of keys has different colors depending on their function.
If you would like stronger visual feedback you could assign an underglow colour to every layer you create.
