Dygma keyboards enhance users' performance, health, and comfort while working or gaming. But how?
A standard keyboard forces the wrists to bend inwards, making keeping a straight back difficult.
To prevent those undesired effects, ergonomic keyboards have several features that allow users to improve their hand placement and overall position:
Split Design
A split keyboard prevents the wrists from cramping, creating a ripple effect that continues with better elbow placement and an open chest. This prevents round shoulders and slouching and results in a much better posture.
Alongside the split design, other features will help to reduce undesired wrist movements and finger extension.
Thumb keys
Thumbs are the strongest and least used finger in conventional keyboards, so we decided to give them more prominence. Thanks to their unique design and disposition and our software, you can use one of them to backspace, enter, or shift, and once you do it, there’s no coming back.
Remappable keys
All keys can be configured and have different functions, so you can place high-frequency keys in more accessible positions. No more holding control with the pinkie while twisting the wrist now, you can access it comfortably with your finger of choice. If you want to find more details, take a look at this article. Palm rests and palm pads
Palm rests and palm pads prevent wrist extension with a more neutral position of the forearm. Besides, the palm pads are detachable and washable.
Tenting
Tenting is one of the hallmarks of Dygma keyboards and helps prevent hand pronation. We put a lot of effort into making sure you enjoy them!
Although adjusting to a split keyboard may initially feel challenging, the potential benefits make the learning curve worthwhile.
