Macros are commands that allow the user to input a sequence of keypresses in a single tap.
To do so, you first need to create and store the sequence in the corresponding menu in Bazecor:
- Go to the macros section on Bazecor's sidebar.
- On the menu at the top, select the “Create a new Macro” option. Choose a name for the macro.
- There are several options for creating the macro. First, you can input the text in the corresponding window.
And then click on “Add to timeline” to create the sequence in the macro editor.
Once the macro is created, you can make small changes, such as changing the times when the key is pressed, altering the position within the macro, or adding new modifiers to the keypress.
- You can always modify and improve the macro. The text tool and the single-character tool allow you to add more inputs. The “Special functions” menu also lets you input events like layer changes, media controls, mouse actions, and other macros.
If you’re not used to macros, you can start by creating small snippets of emails, such as the greet or your position, and then start building more complex ones.
When a macro is input, it takes a few seconds to send all the information, depending on the length of the macro. Don’t worry; the keyboard is working as intended.
