Different things could cause a key to not work; let figure out which one is it:
- Have you tried replacing the switch on that key? A faulty switch is usually the culprit. You can replace it with a switch from the enhancement kit or another key.
- Did the key stop working after you changed the switches on your keyboard? If so, please remove the one from the faulty key to check if the switch was correctly installed. Sometimes, the pins bend.
- If the key still fails, it could be that the metal contacts in the switch socket don't make good contact with the switch pins. To solve this, try slightly twisting the switch pins with a tweezer to make them wider.
- Is the key correctly assigned on Bazecor? You can download the latest one at https://dygma.com/bazecor.
If that doesn't fix it, we would need to check the sockets underneath the PCB:
- Turn the keyboard off.
- Remove the screws underneath the side that is not working.
- Open the base carefully and disconnect the white cable that connects the main PCB to the small wireless PCB.
- Check the black socket underneath the key that's not working and see if it's ripped from the PCB.
Here are instructions on how to open the Dygma Defy, Dygma Raise and Dygma Raise 2. You don't need to remove the switches and keycaps, just the back of the keyboard.
If the socket is ripped, the PCB will need to be replaced. Email us at support@dygma.com and we'll take it from there.
