The tenting solution's aluminum legs and plastic rods may feel looser over time. Fortunately, we're prepared for that eventuality.
How to tighten the aluminum legs
Adjusting the aluminum legs takes patience, but it's not complicated. You just need to open the keyboard and tighten a couple of screws to adjust how tight the hinge is.
Follow these steps:
- Unscrew the base using an M2 screwdriver with a Phillips head.
- If your keyboard is wireless, disconnect the ribbon cable that joins the RF PCB and the main keyscanner PCB.
- In the base of the metal legs, you'll see small screws holding a hinge; those are the ones we're looking for.
- Tighten the screws carefully; you probably don't need a complete turn of the screw. Overdoing it might damage the hinge.
- Once you recover the desired feel, reconnect the ribbon cable, screw the base again, and enjoy.
How to tighten the plastic tenting rods
To tighten the rods, just remove the rods and add a bit of painter's tape, scotch, or electrical tape to the hinge in the aluminum leg. This will add enough friction so the rods are no longer loose.
